For Week 18 of professional pet photography blog circle Project 52 we were tasked with the theme of "morning has broken." We were supposed to go out to get the first rays of morning light (some of the best light for photography), but I'm not a morning person, so I knew this would be a tough one to complete. I will, however, get up early for client sessions in order to take advantage of the morning light or time to avoid other people and pets when shooting on location. Unfortunately, timing this week just didn't cooperate, so I had to come up with an alternate interpretation of the theme. (I promise that I will go out and get the morning light for a future post.) Mr. Bojangles is also not a morning doggy and likes to snuggle in bed. Sometimes, I will get up and start working in my office and he is still in bed, so I'm not sure how cooperative a subject he will be if his sleepytime is cut short.
So, while not the first rays of the morning light, here is my alternate take on "morning has broken" with Mr. Bojangles in his jammies waking up for the day. He usually emerges from under the covers and heads over to the other side of the bed (close to the window) to start morning guard duties. Now to see some actual morning light head over to Tara Sutherland, New Zealand Pet Photography, Hamilton, and then around the rest of the blog circle until you end up back here.
