Project 52: Nighttime | Suzi Pix Photography | Cincinnati Pet Photographer

For Week 34 of professional pet photography blog circle Project 52 our theme was nighttime. I had the great idea of, once again, going to our favorite local park for my nighttime shoot with Mr. Bojangles, but things didn't work out so well. First, I forgot my large reflector. Second, I was missing the trigger for my off camera flash, so couldn't use my speedlight and large octa box as I had intended. Third, there was a deer in the trees to the side of where I wanted to take pictures and Mr. Bojangles was on high alert. So, we were off to a great start. I ended up having to use my speedlight on my camera with a small octa box modifier on it. You can see how his ears are back as he keeps listening to the deer in the bushes.

After I gave up on shooting on the path by the bridge in the woods, I decided to head over to the lake. When we arrived at the park, there was a family on the swings, but they were gone when we went back, which cut down on distractions for Mr. Bojangles. I decided to set up in the little gazebo at the lake and do our photo shoot there since there were no deer our new location.

Now to see more pets in the dark, head over to Denver pet photographer StinkDog Photos, and then around the rest of the blog circle until you end up back here.
