For Week 21 of professional pet photography blog circle Project 52, I got to choose the theme. I chose "solitude," which is defined as a state of being alone or a lonely or uninhabited place. While Mr. Bojangles is not, of course, alone in the pictures this week they give the appearance of being alone. They could also work for a lonely place, because even though there were other people in the park we went to, there weren't a lot of them.
For our "solitude" images, we went to Alms Park in Cincinnati. I am not sure if I had ever been to the park before, but it was nice and had a view of Lunken Airport and the Ohio River.
It was a bright and sunny afternoon when we went to the park as you can tell from the next image, which is a sort of "before" of the last image (although not, obviously, the same image.) There is a massively long concrete bench that curves around the hillside at one of the overlook areas and Mr. Bojangles was sitting on it in solitude.
Because I felt the location was a little boring, I decided to take some creative license and make the boring concrete bench in the park into an interesting bench in a desolate urban landscape.
Now for some more reflections of solitude, head over to Trina Bauer Photography, State College, Pennsylvania, and then around the rest of the blog circle until you end up back here.
